I love photographing people. I discovered this love while studying photography at Rice University. Spending late nights in the art department darkroom, I worked hard to create the most interesting and beautiful images possible. After graduating from Rice in May 2000, I spent a year working in France and traveling the world. In 2001, I moved to Boulder, CO, and I started my business here a year later. I have been photographing weddings, couples, families, children, and babies professionally ever since.
My photography is honest, sincere, and intimate. At every photo shoot, I aim to create images that will bring my clients to tears. During my seven years in business, I have honed my technical and lighting skills. Those skills being solidified, my primary focus is now the beauty and emotion found in each moment. I love the romance of weddings, and the delight and innocence of children. I approach each session with attention, intention, honesty, and love. I put my heart and soul into my work, and I believe that it shows in my photographs.
When I am not at work, I enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, yoga, ballet, traveling, and surfing. My favorite activity is spending time with my husband, Dan, who makes me laugh and smile constantly.
